I had a day off today. This morning, I went to AEON and stayed for a while with doing nothing special. After that, at lunchtime my parents and I went to a restaurant in this city to celebrate my birthday. We had eel as our lunches, and shared our everyday experience as funny episodes. Oh... When I had been a heavy drinker, I hated my parents so much (therefore, the mood in my family was really "barren"). However, now I can have seen their devotional trials toward me as good parents.
After that, I went back to my group home and took a nap. This afternoon, I found that a friend of mine Miho san had started her room on clubhouse. That room's main topic was how the members try to manage their free time in their daily lives by using Japanese and English, so I decided to join in there and shared my truth. Although you have already known this, I am an autistic person (in a way having a mental illness), therefore not a full-time worker. Once I had a serious emotional guilty about this fact, and blamed myself terribly. Probably that emotional guilty let me go to the vast pond of alcohol.
Even now, I am working as a handicapped person in the company (about six or seven hours a day). Basically, with great help by various staff of my group home and also my friends, I can enjoy my life with working, reading and listening to... I shared these things with the members in bilingual languages. The other members showed an interest in my story, and I could enjoy the opportunity (thank you so much!).
This evening, I attended the weekly meeting on Zoom with my friends. This time, we had no special topics to enjoy... however, when I shared my story which I was reading a collection of essays by a Japanese author Komimasa Tanaka, the other members started their experiences about books. In this town, there are not so many bookstores (at least, this town must have a few real stores), therefore we talked about where we could enjoy buying and reading books in our daily lives, and also how we could have lived our lives with books and movies.
