The Irresistible Force - It's Tomorrow Already

This morning I went to my workplace to do the health check, and found that I had gotten a little fat. After that I found a friend of mine had shared with us, the group members on LINE, an interesting piece of information about autism from the viewpoint of brain science (to take pills to cure it). So I went to the library to borrow Elizabeth Moon's novel "Speed Of Dark" which I had been interested in. After that, I went back to my group home and wrote yesterday's journal as usual.

After having lunch, I started enjoying the rest of Ramachandran's book "The Tell-Tale Brain" at AEON. As you might have already learned from these journals, I am just an employee of an ordinary company and, therefore, just a nameless guy. So there must be no reason why I have to read this kind of book... However, probably I was raised as an owner of an autistic brain, so I have gotten interested in this topic as an amateur, therefore I have tried to enjoy various books such as Antonio Damasio.

About "curing" autism... even though I worry about the side effects those medical approaches would occur (by thinking of an ultimately evergreen novel of mine "Flowers For Algernon"), I want to welcome that because simply I expect that as an additional option for making everyone's life happier. But, I never want to wish them as the so-called "must" way for that. Anyone must have their method to chase their happiness...As for me, even though I take the least amount of pills, I've enjoyed various meetings in English and Japanese to do the quest for my humanity/personality.

This evening, I attended the "danshu" meeting. After that, I returned to my group home. Remembering today's activities, I enjoyed "zapping" Damasio's book "Self Comes To Mind". This book is also about how our brains can produce our consciousnesses (I believe "consciousness" is countable), and certainly let me re-imagine how this brain has been working toughly. After that, I rechecked my draft for tomorrow's Zoom meeting about how I have learned my method of communication. Yes, my quest of gaining knowledge for exploring the unknown "frontier" of this world seems still going on and on...
