This evening, I enjoyed a meeting with other friends on Discord. At there, we talked about how we spend/enjoy each one's reading time (what music we listen to, or where we go to buy books, etc.) It was a pleasant time. About one of those interesting topics, we told each one's favorite authors/books to other members. Whose books have influenced our ways of thinking actually? Yes, it is an interesting question. Whose ideas consist your thought?

To answer this question, I have to go back to my childhood. TBH, I had not been the kid who had used to enjoy reading. I won't tell you any lie about this. Although I could have read some books when I was a kid, I can't remember what kind of impression those books had afforded me actually. Yes, I needed to wait for "the time", "that opportunity" certainly.

When I had got 16, I encountered Haruki Murakami's early work "Pinball, 1973" which a classmate had been reading. I tried to read it, and had an interest in Haruki's work therefore I started checking his "Norwegian Wood" - it was the beginning of my reading life. Oh, if I couldn't have met his work in this way, how my youthful days could be? I had already been a lonely student, but Haruki's works were always with me.

Besides Haruki Murakami, there are so many favorite authors of mine (what if their works could have been translated into English! They must cause your interest.) Komimasa Tanaka, Kazushi Hosaka, etc. I can't introduce/tell about their works - How incredible their works have actually been for me.

There are really many books like stars in the midnight sky - There are too many books to enjoy them completely. In a way, however I try to become perfect to read them, I won't be able to achieve that trial (it must end in vain.) But that's the meaning I have been a tiny human being. My mood has been always changing (it sounds like The Style Council's banger.) How about reading Truman Capote's classical first novel? Or should I read Kobo Abe's great works? My days go on like that - My ever changing moods!
