BGM: Susumu Yokota - On & On
Today was a day off. I thought I wanted to enjoy sleeping deeply because I had worked yesterday. I could enjoy today as the first laziest day of 2023... but I couldn't stay still in my room so I went to Aeon. This is the beautiful power of habit. I bought some rice balls for today's lunch and also the first shopping. I went to a bookstore but could find nothing interesting. I can remember that I bought a book that tells us about "recognition bias" as that year's first shopping. Returning to my room, I read Ryouta Fukushima and Cheung Ikuman's book "The thoughts of the frontier". It is a little bit old book but still tells us where is the place we are. Really exciting.
I got really surprised at learning the new Japanese-English word "Taipa". It was the "first question" of this year, and it means a shortened word of "time performance". A friend of mine told me that it was already written in the book I just know the title. Googling it instantly, and found that it means the current opinion that says it must be a waste of time that we need to take a long time to learn something. It reminds me of Michael Ende's masterpiece "Momo" (although this idea comes from my easygoing intuition). I can remember that it might be available at the bookstore so I might have to learn the "current" way of thinking. I also remember that "it must be nonsense if artisans have to learn their art for a long time".
I know an actress June Lovejoy (she was once known as a porn actress). I used to visit her server on Discord and enjoy chatting as a way of learning English (but not any "nasty" talk). Today I learned that she had tweeted about freedom of expression by showing a pic of cosplaying Nati costume. Although I accepted that it is a brave tweet that let us think about the relationship between the value of freedom and the holocaust, I felt unbelievable watching a lot of "dissing" tweets that blamed her terribly. I remembered Kafka's opinion that "All the words of abuse collapse the words as the greatest creation of human being".
This evening I enjoyed chatting at a chat group on MeWe. People enjoyed chatting in French so I joined with using google Translate. Because I had learned French as a second language, it just remained as "Salut!", "Je suis Japonais", "Je m'appelle disco cat". There are all... I even thought that this year I should learn French again. I need a good dictionary, textbooks, and "mon ami". Re-learning French in the server of language French on Discord... attracts me because I believe that the process of learning languages must be an endless entertainment. I hope we can meet every day like this in 2023 as usual. Bonne année.
