2025/03/19 A Spring Day In Snow

BGM: The Irresistible Force - Its Tomorrow Already

It was a day off today. I got up so late that I couldn't enjoy a morning shower time. After joining the daily English Zoom meeting as usual, I went to AEON. There, I tried to write several ideas on my memo pad. However, I couldn't do so (the reason was completely enigmatic, though). The more I tried to seek for any firm ideas in my head, the more I had to face its emptiness. Therefore, I gave up at last. Instead, I enjoyed having a chitchat with ChatGPT in English.

After that, I went to the library. Recently, I heard that a Japanese TV station (NHK) will introduce Haruki Murakami's famous novel, "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle," next month. So, I chose Haruki's book at first, and also Sayaka Murata's latest work "World 99 [村田沙耶香『世界99』]". After that, I went back to my group home and had lunch.

I took a deep nap, and after that, I went to the main house of my group home to see a person at the monthly meeting (with the sub-admin). We discussed several things such as how I had spent my time with the admins during the period I had gotten infected by a cold (or any other virus), and also how the several connections (for example, this group home, the English conversation class, the "danshu" meeting, the English Studying Club, and more) certainly have helped me a lot, etc.

Those two people gave me several opinions sincerely, especially they said the English learning activities I've been enjoying must have been helping me a lot. In particular, they said my speaking style must have gotten so improved. I can't tell whether it is right or not, but I guess that the activities I have been enjoying every day must work for improvement. When I was so young (even in my 30s), I couldn't express my opinions in public with any pride. 10 years must have worked for that certain progress.

This evening, after a long time, I attended the "danshu" meeting. There, I shared several events I've written in these diaries. After that, I came back to my room and enjoyed reading that Haruki's "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" until the time I had to turn the light off to go to bed. Even though I have just read its beginning part only, it certainly has intrigued my interest. I need to read it steadily.
