BGM: Fishmans - 頼りない天使

I worked early today. This morning, I remembered that today was a memorial day for me because in 1999, Shinji Sato, a favorite band of mine Fishmans' vocalist had passed away. So, during the morning, I tried to recall several songs of theirs and thought about how music has generally pushed me ahead toward the front direction (in other words, music has even been saving this life).

Now, I can't remember this exactly but once some Twitter users declared that we should separate music from political issues. We shouldn't bring music into political discussions... For me, I can never enjoy several brilliant classics such as Prince, Michael Jackson, or Marvin Gaye without concerning myself with so-called political issues (for me, even The Beatles has been very journalistic, actual, and political enough). Of course, every listener can have their own way of enjoying music, so I shouldn't try to criticize other ways from my selfish viewpoint. However, as an old-fashioned listener, this has been simply interesting.

In my case, probably as these journals have already told you about, naturally I start thinking about several things without having any brainy strategies, like my body starts moving slightly and automatically when groovy music starts. Like that, great music always lets me connect several essences in this weird and unique brain (from my daily life's scenery and my memories to the so-called politics).

However, I also want to add this: My abilities of verbalizing something like music (basically it must be invisible or shapeless) must not have enough intensity to "rule" it. My poor words must surrender to music's very vast, very huge charm in the end. So, I must be modest about that fact and try to enjoy music's sublime essences without judging it by using several too-brainy, too-simple ideologies.

After today's work, I went back to my room, had dinner, and relaxed for a while. At 10 p.m., I joined a Zoom meeting a friend of mine had held. There, we enjoyed several games such as the jigsaw puzzle and "sudoku". It was a pleasant time. Thank you, my friends!
