This morning, finally I gave up attending the English meeting on Zoom because of this dizziness. Looking back in (slight) anger or irritation... It was the 22nd of this month, and today has been the 9th day after that. At first, I doubted if I could get heat stroke, but it was in my company where air conditioners worked certainly. After that, I doubted if I had suffered from any mental stress. Also, the possibility of summer fatigue or coronavirus infection... However, even now I have no fatal fever or any pain in my throat. Oh my goodness.
Anyway, after leaving my room, I went to AEON as usual (a strict routine of mine). At first, I went to the bookstore in that AEON to buy a favorite author, Kobo Abe's paperback "Whales Rushing to Death / Mole Diary [安部公房『死に急ぐ鯨たち・もぐら日記』]". Also, I found an interesting-looking book, Tokiko Komaki's manga "My Leisurely Language Diary [こまきときこ『つれづれ語学日記』]". Although the reason has still been completely enigmatic, I bought both at once without checking my wallet...
I started my work, however, that dizziness still affected my mentality fatally. Except for those possibilities I have written above, I can think of a single possibility... The typhoon that has been coming to this country. If so, it will leave with this dizziness... I wish it could be so. I wish this annoying "slump" event would leave soon as my friends wish. The main (or sub) admin of my group home sent me a LINE message that said I had better go to a hospital to have my ears checked, so I decided to do so.
After finishing today's work, I went back to my room on my bike (it wasn't raining such heavily as I had expected). In my room, I read that Kobo Abe's paperback I had bought today a little. Even though this author's ideas seem to me as old-fashioned and limited (for example, he says in this book that except for so-called "advanced" countries there can't be any great literature that makes us astonished), I have been impressed by his keen eyes that literally "predict" this current world's atmosphere. Therefore, I will keep on reading his works more and more...
