This morning, I went by bus to a large hospital in the next town. Honestly, I am not good at reading maps or walking in any place without being guided, even though the hospital is so close to the station. In there, I showed the letter from a dentist who had treated my teeth and started the treatment. The problem is that I have two "wisdom teeth", and today the doctor and staff pulled the one which had almost caused toothache from my mouth. It seemed to me like a sort of really serious surgery... Certainly, even though it ended so soon, I had gotten so nervous.

During the treatment, I asked this question to me for the Zoom meeting I would enjoy tomorrow. How many hours have I spent in this life to learn English? It must be a large amount of time in school and private life. However, although I had done such a great serial effort/trial, I still tend to feel a certain pressure to become a fluent speaker more and more. It looks like a sort of endless circling... although, I can't see if it is vicious or not.

After that, I went out from the hospital to the main place in the town. The town has a large "shopping mall". In that mall, they have a large bookstore. There, I bought two books. The one is about how Japanese classical novels such as "The Makioka Sisters" and Yasunari Kawabata's ones have been translated into English by following the history in detail. Another is about a collection of philosophical essays. After that, I went to a Starbucks to have a cold drink (by drinking that, I remembered I had gotten a "surgery" in my mouth!).

After coming back to my group home (OMG! I spent the whole day doing this treatment), I had dinner. This evening, I heard the sad news that says that a legendary Japanese intellectual, Seigoh Matsuoka had passed away. I have learned a lot from his books even though he has left so many works as his precious "heritages" that I have not checked out yet. Yes, he must be one of the greatest bookworms who could entertain us with his large amount of knowledge. In this world, there must be so many books like stars.... and he could connect them to make various beautiful networks. Rest in peace.
