BGM: Fatboy Slim - Because We Can
I worked early today. At lunchtime thinking time, I thought about this. How could I have found the current connections such as the group home, the meeting about autism, the international association in this town, and the "danshu" meeting, etc? TBH, today I found an interesting post on Twitter about this kind of topic. People who have truly suffered from their troubles can rarely start doing the first activity as a beginning step... according to my own experiences, I can understand how it can be difficult.
Also, in the previous English class, we had talked about how to do self-study. That's also the reason why I have thought about this. Of course, these are not the same topics. However, I guess they have the same structure. How can we find our figures to clarify the problems we have, and also how can we connect ourselves with the outer services such as various groups/communities in this world via. the city office or the internet? That must be one of the most important, but also the most complicated issues.
As you already know, I am just a "nameless" autistic person who is trying to learn English while working. So, I can never write down any universal, ultimate methods or solutions about this - But I might be able to write a tiny clue that can guide you from my experiences. About learning English, I had once strictly thought that it must have cost me too much money. But after I decided to start learning English once again at 40, I told about this will to other friends. Then, a friend taught me about the international association which has reasonable price classes.
"Ask, and it shall be given to you"... this is an old quote. Now I can believe that this is a truth in this world. But when I couldn't find out how to start the first step anywhere, this quote could sound too nonsense to me because I even couldn't find how to ask actually. Now I can tell them "You can visit the local libraries to borrow various English books" and "You can try posting your 'pieces of life' in English on LINE or Twitter" etc. But, I guess I need to care about their inner issues that can prevent them from starting their first step forward.
