Life goes on brah!

Recently I have been reading Haruki Murakami's works intensively. Today I went to Aeon as usual, as an activity in the morning, and started reading "Underground" there. This is a common thing but I thought that "Underground" tells us the real faces of the people caught in the Tokyo subway sarin attack. There are various people's days, and also their lives. Those have a certain value to be treated preciously. Then, once I had underrated those kinds of 'ordinary lives'. I must treat 'to live ordinarily' as junk.

To live ordinarily... Me, I am 47 years old but just staying single and have no family, no kids. Yes, I am the person who chooses this way of living. Probably ordinary workers might endure a hard time accessing the workplace by some trains such as the "Underground" tells, They might do their work facing that stressful situation. I just ran away from the possibility of living that kind of life (even if it was unconsciously). And I chose the life which has time to read my favorite books and music. I just understand that it's not the problem that has a correct answer. Then, I need to accept other people's ways of living as 'it is what it is'.

I have been vaccinated for the fourth time. I already made preparation for being vaccinated as a veteran. Just got, and wait for 15 minutes, and all over. I pray that the vaccine would sink into my body smoothly. This evening, I read Haruki Murakami's "A Wild Sheep Chase". Haruki Murakami tries to tell his story seriously in this story. Before this, his novels consisted of fragments mainly, so I felt that they were a collection of pieces of the story, not the smooth and long story itself. But this novel ends as a well-made story that has long and smooth sentences. I felt that he had gotten evolved as a writer simply.

Thinking about what Haruki's novel should be next, I chose his "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World". The reason why I have been attracted by Haruki is just his storytelling is great. Indeed, if you choose any 'well-made' story like Haruki's, you can find Raymond Chandler or Toshihiko Yahagi, and also so many writers. But Haruki's novels have a 'fishy' taste like a great conspiracy. I might even say that you can sink into his paranoiac point of view which this world itself must be controlled by an evil group. Therefore young readers are into his works I guess.

I went to the library and borrowed Haruki Murakami's "Underground". I can remember that I read this book a lot when I was a college student. Learning the incidents Aum had done, I think that I could join in the cult as Aum and spread sarin gas for salvage because I could have believed that must be good. Then the incident Aum had done had a certain relationship with my life. Referring to the incident from the goodness, even now there are some people who do 'strange' things from their goodness. I can lose the ethic in myself and lose myself. I must be careful about it.

Today was the day we had the state funeral of Shinzo Abe, the ex-prime minister. I was afraid of reading tweets on Twitter (so tried to ignore them). This might come from the fact I often read some tweets with a strong bias, but I couldn't ignore that there were some 'bloody' or 'aggressive' tweets. Indeed, I stand in the position of 'anti abe', but it is clear that he must not wish for such a miserable death. So I want to pray for him, but we can ask if we should pray for him at the 'state funeral'. We might have to do more important things than the funeral (we must remember Shizuoka's disaster). So my thought gets frozen there.

Reading "Underground" and "Underground 2", and also other Haruki Murakami books. Reading Haruki might be a lesson for me for a person like me who can't adapt oneself (it can be called 'anti-society') enables to live in this society, or become a member of this world. How can I throw huge self-love or ideal away and accept this myself? How can I accept this person who must not have any special talents? How can I live this life as an ordinary person... (as Wittgenstein says, just 'being here naturally' must be a miracle).

This evening, I watched the third episode of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo". It was a serious episode that approached about autism seriously and made me think about it again because I also have autism. I can't explain this from any academic point of view, but autism is the handicap of 'the characters which everyone has basically appear as serious problems because they are too much'. In other words, if this society accepts that handicap from another point of view, that handicap shows another face. Can I say that "if this society accepts it so softly, then autistic people can live a little bit easier"? Indeed, I have to do the action, not just say beautiful dreams...

Today I went to the hospital to see the doctor and got some medicines. After that, I went to Aeon and read Haruki Murakami's "Underground 2". This book has various interviews with the people who had been AUM members once, and I prefer this book to the same Haruki's "Underground" which has many interviews with the victims of The Tokyo subway sarin attack. That might come from the mind of "I might stand the side of spreading Sarin" I certainly have. I can't deny that I might do terrorism that is based on the mind of making this world better and adoring the charisma of Shoko Asahara.

Reflecting on my life until now, I certainly have felt that it was hard to live in this world, and seemed that the adults around me were idiots and therefore I couldn't adapt myself to their logic. Why do I live? What is my role in this world? These questions made me isolated from the world. If I met a group like AUM at that period as a lonely person, I must be swallowed by them. I am not strong. Luckily, I had Haruki Murakami's novels and other rich pop culture.

Haruki Murakami tells Hayao Kawai in this book that AUM is the symbol of 'Evil'. But I want to think deeply and try to think that if AUM was based on 'Good', in other ways if they seriously wanted to salvage this world and the people therefore they spread sarin. Indeed, Shoko Asahara was just a tiny snob, but the members just might think that this world also must be 'snob' and 'evil' simply. Then, The sarin attack becomes the result of overworking their 'Good', not 'Evil'. Therefore it becomes more dangerous. We can find that kind of overworking 'Good' on the net.

I watched the second episode of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo". TBH recently I am into Korean culture and joined a server which is for discussing Korea. This drama has the main character who has an autistic smartness in her way of thinking, and also various people who try to understand her even if they sometimes misunderstand her. It is exactly charming. I have no knowledge about Korea so want to learn. But I guess that Japanese culture might be lesser than rich Korean culture. If so, the nationalism/patriotism in me hurts. If I was the right person, I would get angry about this situation.
